Bald Eagle Area’s second annual mini-Thon is coming up May 10, and the hype is already starting. On April 12, a pep rally was held before a staff and student dodgeball tournament, announcing the nominees for Mr. Mini-Thon.
Freshman: Tanner Bower, Ethan Koleno and Carter Stere
Sophomore: Zeb Fry, Shane Eveleth and Kyler Cunningham
Junior: Matthew Reese, Luke Wilson, Blaine Egan and Ben Yetsko
Senior: Blake Roberts, Thomas Shaheen, Keith Greene, Ryan Taylor, Hunter Brooks and Kael Gardner
Planning for mini-Thon started earlier in the school year with students from the SADD club. The mission is to hold an event mimicked off the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, known as Thon, to help raise money for the Four Diamonds fund that supports families affected by childhood cancer.
The goal this year, according to student Lauren Wellar who is helping coordinate the event, is to raise at least $5,000. You may donate, here: https://fourdiamonds.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.event&eventID=2378&fbclid=IwAR3alM-bp9LnnZ4pFvKHBT7ylGGkPkOvUX8_LKlRG_PrHGjF7NVOc5EIwSI.
