FFA comes back from activities week at Penn State with awards

Calling his reactions “elated,” Bald Eagle Area High School ag teacher and FFA adviser Todd Biddle announced results of FFA activity week held this year at Penn State. It includes several individual recognitions, honors and medals and more. Three students also passed their state review for their American Degree. They will be publically named in August once the National FFA board approves it.

National Chapter application: Gold
*Chapters that meet gold merit are no longer placed; however, the gold is what qualifies you to move to national level.

Dairy Herd Management and Evaluation CDE: Gold, Calvin Dechow

Floriculture CDE: Gold, Drew Koleno

Senior Prepared Public Speaking CDE: Silver, Ashton Julian

Marketing plan: Fourth-place -- Rebecca Dean, Haley Hoover and Samantha Trigg.

Dairy Herd Management and Evaluation: Fourth-place -- Calvin Dechow, Clayton Liner, Joseph Shawley and Taylor Zimmerman.

Floriculture: Sixth-place -- Ashlee Gill, Mackenzie Hockenberry, Drew Koleno and Kylie Swartz.
