Bald Eagle Area students who participate in Future Business Leaders of America qualified for the State Leadership Conference that will be held April 8-11 in Hershey.
They include Katelyn Bathurst, Chelsea Butterworth, Kaitlin Carter, Cameron Cody, Garrett Giedroc, Derek Henry, Kylee Hoffman, Amayah Fogleman, Charlee Marshall, Brooke Myers, Garrett Rigg, Emily Shiels, Mattea Simoncek, Mia Simoncek, Tony Talarigo and Luke Wilson.
Teacher and FBLA adviser Carri Donmoyer said many students become eligible for states by earning first, second or third place in an event at the Regional Leadership Conference. The RLC was held Dec. 13 at Bellefonte Area High School. If students place in the top four at the SLC, they can then advance to the National Leadership Conference from June 28 to July 1 in Baltimore.
Students will compete in their selected competitive events, participate in educational workshops, and attend the SLC opening session and awards ceremony, and more.
Attendees will also network with FBLA members from around the commonwealth, Donmoyer said. There will be about 5,000 students, advisers, guests and presenters in attendance at the state conference.
