The Bald Eagle Area School District is fortunate to own nearly 500 acres of woodlands. About a year and a half ago, working with partners and supported by a grant from Domtar Paper in Johnsonburg, we began to develop a forest management plan. We have formed an ad hoc forestry advisory group, and with the grant funding, hired a forestry consultant to inventory the property.

Now, we are asking for your input to develop some understanding what district residents see as important values to address in the management plan. We will compile input and share it with the advisory committee to develop a draft plan to share in one or more public meetings this spring.

To help with the important process of stewarding our district's woodlands, please visit and complete the short survey. We encourage every household to take the time to share their thoughts before Dec. 31, 2018. You may find the survey, here: https://docs.google.com/forms/...

We look forward to hearing from you. If you have any questions, please call the district office at (814) 355-4860.
