The Bellefonte Intervalley Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual volunteer fair open to members of the community, including students at Bald Eagle Area High School. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 2 at the American Philatelic Society at the Match Factory plaza in Bellefonte.
According to Executive Director Gary Hoover, the fair includes a variety of local organizations looking for help. The event, he added, is designed to help community service nonprofits find volunteers to increase services to the community.
“It provides a convenient way for potential volunteers -- especially students and their families -- to speak to a wide variety of volunteer-opportunity providers assembled at one place, and to find volunteer work that matches interests and time available,” Hoover said.
Other activities will also be included during the event, such as door prizes.
