Task

First, you will go to the document manager and open the Valley Forge document. You will need to go to the National Park website and answer the questions on the paper. You should not take more than one period to do this or you are behind! Next use the links below to watch video and learn even more about Valley Forge. Finally you will need to create either an add for a newspaper where you are requesting supplies needed. You need to make it colorful and creative with pictures of supplies, a description of supplies needed, why you need it and how it will help you. Explain how you will pay (you work for the government, maybe Congress can help?). Explain how it will help you win the war!

If you do not want to do that you need to write a two paragraph letter to the Congress. First paragraph should explain your conditions and problems at Valley Forge. The second paragraph should explain the supplies you need and why you need them. Pretend I am THomas Jefferson or John Adams and convince me! Use detail language to describe the problems and be vivid, the more detail and imagery will help you.

Your third and final option will be to write a poem commemorating a soldier who died at Valley Forge. YES, I want it to rhyme! It should be 12 lines and should describe the problems at Valley Forge, the suffering the soldier faced, the supplies still needed, why they need them and how it would help.
