The wheels on the buses that transport BEA students to school go "round and round" to the tune of approximately 707,639 miles each school year. 59 contracted vehicles (32 buses and 20 cars/vans), involving eight bus contractors throughout the area, are used for student transportation. Since the BEA School District covers 343 square miles, some of the students who live in the furthest corners of the District need to board the high school bus as early as 6:38 a.m. to make it to class on time!| Elementary students will be directed to the school office and given a pass. High School students need to take their notes to the Attendance Office where they will be given a pass. Phone calls for bus passes will be taken for emergencies only. |
Parents and students are reminded that when it is necessary for a student to ride a bus, other than the one to which they have been assigned, a written request is required to include the following information: Date of Request Name and grade of the student to which the request applies Address where the student is going (requires specific information) Bus Number (if know) being requested
CALL-IN REQUESTS FOR BUS PASSES ARE RESERVED FOR EMERGENCIES.
