At the September 9, 2010 meeting, the Board of Education will vote on moving the sixth grade students to the Middle School, beginning with the 2011-12 school year.  After two-and-one-half years of study, the Middle School Task Force has recommended to the Board of Education that Grade 6 students be included in the Bald Eagle Area Middle School Program at the Middle-High School.  The BEA Administration is recommending that the Board of Education accept the Middle School Task Force's recommendation.  The issue has been tabled at the February 12, 2009 and the August 12, 2010 meetings.  The Board is expected to make a decision at the September 9, 2010 meeting.  The board meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Middle-High School auditorium.
