Covid Procedure Reminders

A letter from our school nurses.

Dear BEA Parents and Guardians,

We wanted to thank you for your help in getting our school year off to a great and healthy start. We truly appreciate all the parents who have checked in with us regarding their child’s symptoms or concerns they have had with coming back to school. We want to continue this partnership as we progress through the school year.

Below are some school district updates and reminders regarding COVID-19 procedures. If a student is being tested for COVID-19, we ask that parents/guardians keep home all other children in the household(s) until test results are received. If the test results are negative, all siblings and the student being tested may return to school if they are symptom free. If the student is positive, he/she must quarantine for 10 days from symptom onset and all other siblings should quarantine for 14 days.

We are also asking that you continue to use the COVID-19 symptom checklist to screen your children for symptoms prior to leaving for school in the morning. If your child has multiple symptoms, please keep your child home, and contact your primary care doctor for further guidance. If your child exhibits multiple symptoms from column B or any of the symptoms from column A while they are at school we will send him/her home and will refer you to your doctor for further guidance. Students must stay home until they are medically cleared to return to school.

Please contact us if anyone in the household tests positive for COVID-19 or if you have any other questions or concerns about your child(ren). Thank you again for your willingness to work with us to help keep our students healthy and safe!

Thank you,
