Update as of Monday, January 11 2021 for CPI Students

Attention CPI Students and Parents.

A message from MaryAnn Volders, Vice President of Secondary Education

Dear CPI Family:

I have some important information to share with you regarding the increase of positive COVID cases at CPI.

Over the last 24 hours, our COVID positive case count has exceeded the limit of 7 established by the PA Department of Education given our enrollment numbers.  Therefore, CPI must close for all in-person instruction starting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 12th through Friday, January 15th.

All CPI high school students are expected to participate in remote learning from January 12th through January 15th.  CPI students should continue to log on to Google Classroom for important information from their instructor.  Students are expected to log on during their regularly scheduled time at CPI.  Instructors will take attendance during each class period like they would if we were in school.  Students may be asked to participate in Zoom/Meet sessions, complete assignments, watch demonstrations, and other activities that can be accomplished through remote learning.  Instructors will assign grades for work that is due during these four days of remote learning.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work together to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of our students.  At this time, we look forward to seeing our students back at CPI on Tuesday, January 19th.  Please note that students are not in attendance at CPI on January 18th due to an in-service day.  However, please be aware that it may be necessary to make changes to this plan.  If changes are made, you will be notified immediately.

Following the guidance and recommendation of local and state health officials is critical to the health and safety of the community as a whole.  If you have any questions or need additional information, please reach out to the program area instructor or to me at mavolders@cpi.edu.

Thank you!
