Dear BEA Community:
Here is an update of COVID cases that have occurred over the Labor Day weekend into today in the district. Currently, the MS/HS has a total of 3 cases, 2 students and 1 adult. Mountaintop Elementary has 2 cases and the other elementary schools have 0 cases.
Those individuals that need to quarantine have been notified or are currently being notified. Just a reminder that unvaccinated individuals who are masked that come in close contact (3 feet or more) with another masked individual who has COVID are not required to quarantine under the new CDC guidelines.
Additionally, if your child is experiencing COVID symptoms, please keep them home from school and contact your family doctor. Also, we have had inquiries from parents if home COVID tests will be accepted by the district. These tests will not be accepted by the district as proof of testing.
