Mask Mandate lifted

Dear BEA Community:

As many of you are aware by now, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court lifted the mask mandate in schools.  Therefore, effective immediately, we will revert back to our Health and Safety Plan which makes masking optional in our schools.

Those individuals that wish to continue to wear masks may certainly do so.

THE FEDERAL ORDER TO WEAR MASKS ON SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION REMAINS IN EFFECT.

The COVID virus is worse now than when the mask mandate went into effect.  I would ask that parents continue to keep your children home if they are sick.  We need to work together to keep COVID case numbers low in the schools.

Student and staff safety and keeping schools open remain our most important goals.  I will be sending out a letter home with your child on Monday outlining what we plan to do moving forward now that the mask mandate has been lifted.  It will also be emailed to all parents as well.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Sincerely,
Scott V Graham
Superintendent
